On April 15, SUNNY WORLDWIDE LOGISTICS got the news that workers at the four major logistics centers in Germany held a strike, the latest in a long-term campaign to raise wages and working conditions.

It is understood that the German trade union organization Verdi has been frequently on strike in the German Amazon organization since 2013, requiring the retailer to raise the wages of warehouse workers according to the collective bargaining agreement of the German mail order and retail industry.
Amazon has repeatedly rejected Verdi's request. The Amazon spokesperson said that Amazon is a fair and responsible employer and that salaries are already at a higher level in the industry.

It is reported that Amazon has 12 order fulfillment centers in Germany, and Germany is the second largest market after the United States.

In response to this incident, Verdi board member Stefanie Nutzenberger said in a statement: "Employees will not give up.
They want to end the tyranny of a company that puts pressure on its employees, stresses work and has strong control. ”
