Due to the congestion of inland areas and after Russia decided to reduce the supply of natural gas, container transportation demand and coal demand competition, the surcharge of European rebounds soared by 150%.

European main barge operators, ContarGo, announced that starting from September 1, an Emergence Surcharge (Emergence Surcharge) will be increased from 10 euros to 25 euros, which will give the Consignonians facing the Rhine River for a week. Bring new pain.

ContarGo said: "Except for the existing problems in the Harbor (ship delay, restricted container receiving, etc.), serious bottlenecks continue to affect our services on railway networks and inland shipping."

"Container rebut transportation has to have limited capacity to compete with coal and grain transportation. The Rhine and its continuous low water levels have increased the demand for additional ships and pushed the price to the critical level."

Since the rainfall of the Rhine has been pushed up for the first time in a month, the water level in the KAUB river section reached 100 cm, and the rebar user experienced a brief breathing.

However, some sources said that this did not relieve congestion, because although more rugged ships were driving after the river was closed, the capacity of many rebounds was basically not fully utilized. A barrier to a barrier said: "Before the low water level, a carrier can transport nearly 5,000 tons of goods, but now the same cargo is scattered to three to four ships."

"Replacement of bargaining ships in the inland terminal is usually a time -consuming operation. A 5,000 -ton rebyer usually takes about two days to transport it. Now, the same number of goods will be transported by different ships, which will take about a week. "

There are similar problems in container transportation. Many rebar can originally loaded 200 containers, while only 65 can currently carry.

The entire deep -sea terminal also felt this impact, because the replacement of the ship caused low efficiency, and the crane and workers were idle in the market and berth capacity that had already been "seriously nervous".

The alternative of the barge is still limited. Due to the low water level, the railway capacity has been excessive reservation, and the construction and train cancellation have exacerbated congestion.

ConTargo said it was trying to make up for this loss by creating additional capacity for the shipwreck, but it pointed out that the shipping transportation was still "troubled by the shortage of cargo compartment."

According to sources, this shortage is not due to its unused use, but driven by Germany's demand for coal transportation because Germany wants to prevent Russia from cutting off natural gas supply.
