GreenEvergreen is updating its fleet with new, larger fuel-efficient ships. Since the beginning of 2020, three 1900 TEU ships and one 12000 TEU ship have been delivered. Delivery of another 44 new ships is planned from April 2020 to July 2022.

As a state-owned enterprise in the world's largest container manufacturer, CIMC expects net profit in 2019 to be 1.3 billion yuan (approximately US $ 186.03 million) to 1.8 billion yuan (approximately US $ 257.59 million), compared with 3.38 billion in 2018 Yuan (approximately US $ 49,141 million) net profit declined significantly. This is due to the weak demand of CIMC Group for offshore and offshore engineering services and the decline in container sales.
