According to reports, the European shipping company is negotiating with South Korea's HD modern shipbuilding on a series of 16,000teu container ships.The agent said that the company is soliciting liquefied natural gas dual fuel ships and is planned to be delivered from 2028 to 2029.
In addition, an Asian shipping company is buying 12 24000TEU oversized ships in the market.It is said that the company has obtained the intention of six ships and will be built in South Korea and China.It is expected to be delivered at the end of 2027 and at the end of 2029.
These orders will be added on the cake for the recorded container ships this year.

MB Shipbrokers data shows that this year's order volume is even higher than 4.2 million TEUs in 2021.This number is driven by a series of orders around December.
Last week, Yangminghai Transport confirmed that a series of new Panama -type ships will be ordered.The capacity of these 13 containers is between 8,000 and 15,000teu, which is part of the company's "New fleet optimization plan".
Earlier this month, the MSC Mediterranean Shipping Corporation revealed that it had ordered 10 liquefied natural gas dual fuel 24,000 TEU container ships to Hengli Heavy Industries.It is reported to be delivered between 2028 and 2029.
With the plenty of cash -to -line operators seeking decarbon, green ships with methanol and liquefaction natural gas are the largest share in this year's capacity.
