Mediterranean Shipping and CMA CGM announce new ship sharing agreement
It is reported that Swiss Mediterranean Shipping has signed a new ship sharing agreement with CMA CGM, which will connect Europe, the Indian Ocean and Australia.
Beginning in September 2019, the two companies will establish a new partnership to operate a joint route connecting the Northwest and Mediterranean, the Indian Ocean and Australia (Southbound), Australia and Southeast Asia, the Indian Subcontinent and Europe (Northbound).
The upgraded Mediterranean Shipping Australia Express route, or the CMA NEMO route, will deploy 14 9,500 TEU vessels, 9 of which will be supplied by Mediterranean Shipping and 5 by CMA.
Dafei said that the new plan will upgrade the fleet and expand port coverage by making better use of the six hubs that provide dedicated feeder services.
The port number of the route is: London Port → Rotterdam → Hamburg → Antwerp → Le Havre → Foss → Surme → Genoa → Gio → Tauro → Calais → Port Louis → Sydney → Melbourne → Adelaide De→ Fremantle→Singapore→Colombo→Valencia→Sins→London Harbour.
According to Dafei, the first flight is expected to be scheduled for mid-September 2019.
