American flags lake freight in November to see increased

According to the North American Great Lakes Transportation Association (LCA) released data show that US-flag Great Lakes freighter November transport 9.3 million tons of dry bulk cargo, compared to last year increased by 6.2%.

All boats cumulative 80.5 million tons of cargo a year, but because of this spring and winter ice packed fairway cause shortage of goods, this year's cargo is still reduced by about 2 percent over last year.

Iron ore, iron and steel industry needed a total of 4.6 million tons in November, compared with a year ago, an increase of 22.4%, which means that this year's total by the end of November 2013 more than 350,000 tons of statistics.

On the other hand, the amount of cargo of coal last year, compared with a decrease of 16.6%, a total of 1.9 million tons, while the amount of cargo limestone increased by 4.5 million tons.
