Hong Kong's port cargo throughput in the third quarter rose 9%

Census and Statistics Department of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region 8 released statistics on vessels, port cargo and containers for the 2014 third quarter. The third quarter of this year, the seasonally adjusted total port cargo throughput decreased by 1 percent from the previous quarter. Among them, the inward and outward port cargo fell 1 percent.

Statistics show that in the first nine months of the Hong Kong port cargo throughput rose 11 percent, to 222.5 million tons. Among them, inward port cargo increased by 18% to $ 138.4 million tons, outward port cargo rose 1 percent to 84.1 million tons.
