70% of Scrap been sold to South dismantling

According to statistics, this year, three quarters of the dismantling of 202 boats in more than 70 have been swept shipbreaking beaches of South Asia base%, which is among them, 39 are from Europe shipowners. 

NGO provides the latest data show that a total of Greek shipowners to sell 19 Scrap yard in South Asia, accounting for over 80% of the total of the season sent the Greek ship demolition. 

At the same time, the EU has released the first draft on the technical details of the ship recycling regulations, which made it clear that it will not allow the ship to be registered at the local "red beach dismantling." 

But NGO said, "Although the EU introduced new rules, some linked to Malta, Cyprus and the Greek flag ship dismantling is still in succession to the beach."

It also noted that many of the boat is in fact sent to the demolition of a few weeks ago, just replace the flag. 

Currently, the Comoros, St. Kitts, Nevis and Tuvalu are in the boat owner before demolition waste sent to South Asia's most popular registration.
